This newly created role reports to the Senior Medical Officer and leads advanced clinical care services within the primary healthcare clinic.More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to: Delivering culturally safe and responsive primary health care aligned with the BRAMS Model of Care Conducting independent patient assessments, diagnoses, and clinical decision-making Prescribing medications under the Kimberley Standard Drug List and authorised SASAs Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic investigations Managing recalls, reminders, and follow-up care processes Collaborating across departments and multidisciplinary teams Leading and contributing to quality improvement activities and clinical audits Participating in clinical governance and safeguarding practices for children and young peopleAs a rare opportunity to take on a pioneering role and contribute to long-term health improvements in a stunning regional location.QualificationsTo qualify, you must hold current AHPRA registration with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner, along with demonstrated experience in a primary healthcare setting.
Additionally, the following qualifications and attributes will be highly regarded: Experience working in Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (desirable) Clinical expertise in triage, treatment, and ongoing care management Ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams Cultural humility and a willingness to learn in an Aboriginal health context Collaborative approach and ability to adapt to a diverse service environmentAs our ideal candidate, you are an experienced Nurse Practitioner who is proactive, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
