Test Lead

**Major Responsibilities**
- Lead Test Engineering Teams of medium to large projects / programs
- Support leadership in Test Engineering Teams of medium to large projects / programs
- Detailed Knowledge of System and Hardware Design Verification and Validation technologies including processes, Mechatronic, Fluidic, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
- Provide technical and project leadership to a team of skilled verification hardware engineers responsible for new product development and the upgrade / improvement of existing products
- Responsible for team capability building and continuous improvement activities across the team including test strategies and processes
- Responsible for planning estimates for project related verification and validation activities across multiple teams
- Lead the team to deliver robust and high-quality solutions that are compliant with all applicable business and regulatory requirements
- Provide leadership and drive engagement within the team and projects
- Develop and contribute to standard work for the verification and validation engineering discipline and wider project to ensure effective execution
- Contribute to budget setting, tracking and forecasting for project and verification effort
- Provide expert support to the rest of the business in response to requests for assistance in matters relating to engineering product/process issues
- Contribute to establishment of and continuous improvement of engineering processes and procedures to support business needs and satisfy applicable regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with other functions, such as other R&D departments, Operations, Program Management, Product Management, and Global Support.
- Self-manage and mitigate risks and issues driven to root cause.
- Self-proficient in driving test programs and projects to completion in line with established schedules
- Works well in a team, communicates clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
- Define business Verification & Validation Strategies
- Display stakeholder management skills
- Author and Review of Test Cases and Procedures
- Author Test Plans and Test Reports for medium to large projects
- Execution of Test Cases / Procedures and sign-off of result
- Identify Test Tools required for the testing, Define Requirements and perform verification on the Test Tools (Hardware, Fluidic and Robotic Jigs)
- Proficient in the full life development cycle for Test Equipment / Tool design
- Review and Perform defect verification and Root Cause Analysis
- Perform Verification of Robotic designs and their associated control Systems
- Perform Verification of Fluidic designs and their associated control Systems
- Perform Verification of Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic designs
- Being motivated, proactive and self-guided in solving problems and conscious of importance of achieving agreed deliverable dates with opportunity to develop the team role
- To be a source of technical expertise and knowledge of Testing Methodologies and Test Equipment
- Resolve issues in a timely and cross-functional manner, work with other teams to efficiently solve problems at a consistently complex level
- Write and Review V&V Documentation
- Responsible for mentorship and development guidance improvement of other team members, activities, and processes
- Formally leading teams of 1-10 testers in small, medium and large sized verification activities
- Verification of Prototype and final designs within time, cost and quality constraints
- Update / define and follow relevant quality procedures to deliver quality products and services and identify and support the implementation of continuous improvement.
- Ownership of ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables
- Work safely, complying with all safety procedures, rules and instructions; and reporting workplace hazards, incidents or injuries to manager
