Opportunity
As a Pipe Fitter you will play a critical role in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems.
You will be responsible for activities such as: cutting, threading, beveling of pipes and fittings, as well as assembling and installing various piping components such as valves, supports, inline instruments and special piping items.
This position requires a high level of technical expertise, precision, and dedication to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
Fabricate piping via various methods including cutting, threading, roll groove and beveling of prespooled and stick built piping to blueprints, drawings, and specifications, ensuring they fit together seamlessly.
Assemble and install fixtures, such as valves, fittings, and hangers/pipe supports, to ensure proper functionality of the piping system.
Follow quality control systems and techniques.
Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately.
Ability to mark out and measure accurately.
Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers; utilise PPE as required.
Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines.
Keep detailed records of work performed: Flange Management & Fit up tags, Workpacks and Weld maps.
Qualifications
Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
You will have a Certificate III Engineering or a Fabrication Trade – Boilermaker or Equivalent.
Work at Heights competency and Confined Space Entry are a must.
Background in construction projects within the Oil & Gas industry will be highly regarded.
