Opportunity

As a Pipe Fitter you will play a critical role in the fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems. You will be responsible for activities such as: cutting, threading, beveling of pipes and fittings, as well as assembling and installing various piping components such as valves, supports, inline instruments and special piping items. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, precision, and dedication to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities
  • Fabricate piping via various methods including cutting, threading, roll groove and beveling of prespooled and stick built piping to blueprints, drawings, and specifications, ensuring they fit together seamlessly.
  • Assemble and install fixtures, such as valves, fittings, and hangers/pipe supports, to ensure proper functionality of the piping system.
  • Follow quality control systems and techniques.
  • Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately.
  • Ability to mark out and measure accurately.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers; utilise PPE as required.
  • Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
  • Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines.
  • Keep detailed records of work performed: Flange Management & Fit up tags, Workpacks and Weld maps.
Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team. You will have a Certificate III Engineering or a Fabrication Trade – Boilermaker or Equivalent. Work at Heights competency and Confined Space Entry are a must. Background in construction projects within the Oil & Gas industry will be highly regarded.
