Operations Manager**Function**:
- Support in production and project management of Traffic Signal Controller (electrical switchboard), PCB and ITS equipment manufacturing. This includes testing and fault finding of printed circuit boards. System testing and fault finding of Traffic Signal Controllers and ITS field equipment. Exposure to electronic systems that use mains AC voltages is an advantage but not essential. Support the engineering team, ensuring customer needs for ITS field equipment are fulfilled. The role will be working in a team to support both R&D and Production tasks to ensure products are built, tested and or repaired to a working state.**ITS devices include but are not limited to**:
- Traffic Signal Controllers.
- Traffic Signals and associated hardware.
- Uninterruptible Power Supplies and Batteries.
- Above-ground detectors.
- ITS Field Cabinets.
- Network and serial port communications devices.
**Duties**:
**Production**
- Read circuit and system diagrams.
- Conduct functional and in-circuit testing.
- Use a broad range of electronic equipment
- Troubleshoot faulty PCBs.
- Test and visually inspect traffic controllers and other ITS field equipment according to work instructions and procedures.
- Assist in ensuring electrical compliance of all ITS products.
- Support the 'Type Approval' and 'Acceptance' processes for all company products, including product testing.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the Bill of Materials and written work instructions for the manufactured product range.
**Projects**
- Ensure customer specifications processes are reviewed and interpreted correctly during manufacture.
- Assist in managing projects and writing scoping documents for new projects.
- Assist in designing project plans and supplying all client-required contract documentation.
- Assist the engineering team in the project-specific design of ITS field cabinet cable schedules, material and development of FAT and documentation.
- Assist the company engineering team with product certification testing and solving issues arising from products in the field, including fault finding, diagnostics, and solutions.
**General**
- Assist in maintaining the company's IT network and system (including website and helpdesk).
- Keep the work area clean and tidy.
- Maintain production and quality records as required.
- Conduct activities in a safe, quality, and environmentally responsible manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Support the development and maintenance of IMS procedures and associated forms.
**Authority**:
- Raise Concession Requests.
- Quarantine any faulty equipment or products.
- Sign off on production testing of equipment.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Tertiary education in Electronic/Electrical Systems.
- Experience in a related traffic signal industry is preferred.
- Experience in an electrical/mechanical engineering environment and knowledge of electronic manufacturing.
- Experience in fault finding of electronic equipment down to a component level.
- Proven work experience in an electronic manufacturing environment.
- Good computer and communication skills.
