The opportunityWorking closely with the hospitality team, you will work within a supportive team environment but still have autonomy in your day to be responsible for delivering resident-centric care in a timely and compassionate manner which enables residents to make the best choices for them to live a happy, heathy and safe life in our homes.This role is perfect for individuals studying cookery courses who want hands-on experience in a supportive and rewarding setting.Role responsibilitiesAs an integral part of our aged care facility, the Kitchen assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents by preparing and delivering nutritious meals in a professional and efficient manner.Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, as instructed by the Head Chef.
Crafting well-balanced and nutritious meals is at the heart of what we do for our residents.Excellent safety awareness, adhering to strict hygiene and sanitation protocols in food preparation and serving areas to meet regulatory standards.Bring your genuine care and compassion to meal times, making each dining experience unforgettable and enjoyable for our elderly residents.We thrive on teamwork, and your positivity and willingness to lend a hand are invaluable.

QualificationsEligible to work in Australia and living in the local community.Prior experience in preparing and delivering meals in a commercial environment.Must have the industry compliance of NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or ability to apply for one (this is at your own cost and can take up to a week only to obtain but is a 5-year valid card).
