OverviewJoin to apply for the Hospital Pharmacist - Slade Pharmacy, Epworth Hospital Camberwell/Hawthorn role at Icon Group.Slade Pharmacy at Epworth Camberwell is offering a unique opportunity for a Hospital Pharmacist to join our collaborative and supportive team in a hybrid role that blends dispensary responsibilities with hands-on clinical experience.This permanent part-time position (62.8 hours per fortnight, Tuesday to Friday) is ideal for pharmacists looking to gain or expand their hospital experience—particularly those transitioning from community pharmacy or seeking a more diverse scope of practice.Approximately 90% of your time will be spent in the hospital dispensary at Epworth Camberwell, supporting rehabilitation and mental health inpatients.
The remaining 10% involves delivering clinical pharmacy services one day per week at Epworth Hawthorn, where you'll contribute to patient care through medication reviews, ward rounds, and clinical interventions.As this role involves travel between two Epworth sites, a valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable, roadworthy vehicle are essential.
This off-site component is a valuable opportunity to develop your clinical skills in a supportive environment, and flexibility to travel is a key requirement.Key ResponsibilitiesDispensary Operations (Camberwell)Dispense and supply medications to rehabilitation and mental health inpatientsReview prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and PBS complianceProvide medication counselling and education to patients and carersSupport medication reconciliation during admissions and dischargesCollaborate with pharmacy technicians and multidisciplinary teamsMaintain high standards of medication safety and inventory controlAssist with imprest stock management and ensure continuity of supplyClinical Services (Hawthorn – 1 day/week)Conduct medication reviews and provide clinical interventionsLiaise with medical and nursing staff to optimise patient outcomesParticipate in ward rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary care planningDocument clinical activities and ensure compliance with hospital protocolsThis position offers a balance between operational pharmacy and clinical development, with the opportunity to work across two Epworth sites.

Slade Pharmacy, located onsite at Epworth Camberwell, supports patients throughout their recovery journey with a wide range of rehabilitation and mobility aids and expert pharmacy services.
