**The Position**:
This is an incredible opportunity to work as an Emergency Medicine Registrar at one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals.

You will be working as part of a traditional firm of doctors, including consultant, other registrars, medical officers and commonly interns too. On average you will work for 38-45 hours per week. The hospital works to minimise overtime where possible to support work/life balance.

**The Location**:

Despite its reputation, Tasmania is Australia's second driest state, its winters are not as harsh as Canberra's, and summers tend not to melt you like in Melbourne or Sydney. Not to mention, sunsets and sunrises will leave you near speechless.

**The Facility**:
The hospital is the largest hospital in Tasmania. It provides specialist services to a population of around 260,000 people and is the referral hospital for the region. These include obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics, day and inpatient surgery, anaesthetics, 24-hour accident and emergency, community health, aboriginal health, aged care services as well as many other specialty areas.

This hospital is both a teaching hospital and a **work placed based assessment **facility.

**Requirements**:

- MBBS or equivalent degree.
- Completion of the UK Foundation Programme
- GMC-registered and in good standing with the GMC
- Eligible for Registration with AHPRA
- Eligible for a Visa with applicable working rights
