An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning Consultant to join ServiceStream in our Brisbane office.
About the Role

ServiceStream's Telecommunications division are currently seeking a Planning Consultant to join our growing company. You will be responsible for feasibility studies and obtaining all required town planning associated with their allocated sites. This includes ensuring compliance with all federal, state and local laws, as well as additional client specific expectations. The town planner is responsible for exceptional record keeping for each individual site and accurate milestone tracking.

Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time

Location: Brisbane, QLD

Reporting Line: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a high level understanding of all relevant Commonwealth, State and Territory Legislation, Regulations and Codes of Practice and procedures;
- Develop and maintain a high level understanding of local government policies and plans and procedures;
- Develop and maintain a high level understanding of community consultation principles and practices;
- Adopt a proactive and responsive customer service attitude and maintain a good working relationship with clients;
- Participate in site selection processes including due diligence assessments, undertaking feasibility reports, site selection reports and site design visits;
- Adopt a proactive and responsive customer service attitude and maintain good working relationships with clients, sub-consultants, Council's, Commonwealth and State Government agencies and other Carrier representatives; and
- Assist in working with Planning Consultants and education of Graduates.
- Maximise revenue whilst maintaining cost and complying with contractual, physical, procedural and legal constraints; and
- Ensure project milestones are reached within time and budget restraints and follow necessary procedures to articulate any issues affecting the achievement of project objectives.

About You
- Experience in a government agency, local government or consulting environment;
- Advanced knowledge of general Microsoft Applications;
- Ability to communicate across a broad spectrum of stakeholders;
- Strong analysis skills and the ability to provide clear conclusions and recommendations on complex issues;
- Strong work ethic and a disciplined approach;
- An interest in communications and information technology.
