**About the role**

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of TAFE Digital Foundation Studies team.

As an Education Support Officer within Foundation Studies, you will manage a range of student enrolment tasks and provide assistance that supports the teaching section and enhances the student learning experience.

You will not be required to hold a teaching qualification and are not required to teach or prepare lessons.

Reporting to the Head Teacher, you will;
- Provide personalised support to students to successfully carry out tasks and understand their learning materials and concepts.
- Work in conjunction with teachers, learning support staff and other roles as part of a specialised delivery team.

To be successful in the role you must have:

- Formal qualifications in the education sector:

- A minimum Diploma in Education or higher qualification or equivalent in a related field and relevant experience in Language, Literacy, Numeracy and Digital (LLND) skills
- Ability to understand the content of the learning materials and the processes used in the discipline.
- High-level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to be proactive and show initiative and ability to explain ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Commitment and ability to support learning in an adult environment and a demonstrated ability to motivate and encourage students.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and to provide quality customer service as part of a broader team.
- Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.

Highly regarded;
- 3 - 5 years relevant educational experience
- TAESS00009 Address Foundation Skills in Vocational Practice Skill Set or higher qualification such as a bachelor's degree (AQF 7) or higher in literacy or TESOL
- Have previous experience in the Skills for Education and Employment (SEE) and/or Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) contract
