**About the role**
The successful individual will support the delivery of our core strategic business goals and objectives through the development of appropriate strategies and initiatives for improving the management of Horizon Power's portfolio of generation, transmission and distribution assets and drive energy affordability for our customers.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop Asset Management strategies and tactics for current and future assets
- Provide strategic advice and insights into the performance of assets to improve performance and optimise asset investment and decision making, including providing support with decision making frameworks, tools, processes and systems that delivers reliability & safety whilst providing economic benefits & staying within approved budgets.
- Review and monitor asset performance to identify and manage the development of asset performance driven strategies and improvement initiatives to drive ongoing continuous improvement and meet our asset management objectives
- Implement & manage processes & reporting that enable data driven decision making for optimum asset performance and reliability
- Business ownership and development of advanced analytics and assessments related to asset performance and risk such as Asset Criticality, Asset Condition Assessment criteria & such like assessment protocols.
- Review Horizon Power's System Reliability performance & identify & develop pragmatic (short term) opportunities to improve current System performance
**About you**
In addition to sharing our passion, to be successful in this role you will have:
- A Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, suitable professional qualifications and experience.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication & interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of asset performance criteria & assessment.
- At least 10 years' experience in an asset management role.
- Experience in power system (Generation/Transmission/Distribution) and/or utility asset management, maintenance & operational strategies, investment planning renewal and replacement processes & practices.

Within the System Performance team, this role provides Asset Management stewardship and support for our Operational teams based in our regional hubs in Esperance, Carnarvon, the Pilbara and the Kimberley. We have an exciting opportunity for engineers passionate about driving asset management improvement in an energy utility environment across the full spectrum of assets with strong renewables focus.
