**About the role**

As the General Manager for Internal Audit, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing Origin's operations by delivering valuable insights and championing a best-in-class assurance function. Reporting directly to the General Counsel and EGM Company Secretariat, Risk & Governance, you will support the Board and Senior Management by leading the provision of independent and objective assurance and leadership and counsel to the Board and Senior Management on matters of corporate compliance, ethical business practices and effective control environments.

Your responsibilities will encompass recommending and implementing Internal Audit frameworks, engaging with professional service firms to ensure adherence to industry-leading practices, and cultivating robust relationships with stakeholders at all organisational levels. You'll lead by example, showcasing integrity, fostering a culture of excellence, and championing continuous improvement.

**What will you bring?**

You will have deep expertise in audit and/or assurance roles either in commerce or professional services, including demonstrated leadership in a relevant senior management position. You will also be able to demonstrate.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- A keen sense of commercial awareness and proficiency in articulating complex issues with clarity.
- Uncompromising integrity and a commitment to upholding the highest professional standards.
- Proven track record of cultivating and sustaining relationships with key stakeholders.
- CA or CPA qualified
- Desirable qualifications such as CIA certification and prior experience in the energy sector are advantageous.
