Technical Procurement Officer

About the role :
This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring make-to-order items from external vendors, managing on-time delivery, and resolving technical and quality issues related to supplies, in accordance with EOS's commercial, production, and supply chain objectives.
Key Responsibilities :
Analyze specifications and drawings, source and request quotes for make-to-order materials and components for EOS production.
Communicate with vendors regarding specification and quality issues, requesting concessions following EOS DS processes.
Work with Production Planners to ensure adequate stock levels align with the Production Schedule to meet company goals.
Maintain awareness of vendor lead times, negotiate changes as needed, and update systems accordingly.
Liaise with EOS DS stakeholders to resolve queries and ensure all information is available for RFQ and purchase processes.
Qualifications and Experience :
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Materials.
Supply Chain, Engineering, or Manufacturing trade or degree qualification.
APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) highly regarded.
CIPS accreditations are highly regarded.
Experience in international sourcing and procurement.
Experience interpreting engineering requirements and sourcing products accordingly.
Experience working with ERP and MRP systems.
