**About your role**:As the Computer Systems Technician you will**:

- Contribute to the implementation of key departmental initiatives in accordance with departmental information standards and policies.
- Conduct and coordinate the implementation and support of systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policies.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Participate in and be a member of an IT support service team ensuring that the team provides a high level of service and issue resolution in line with agreed performance standards
- Ensure that agreed levels of service are maintained and contribute to the ongoing development of standardised processes required for the provision of IT support
- Install and maintain systemic management and educational delivery systems in accordance with departmental information standards and policies
- Provide expert IT advice and support on the selection, procurement and installation of new hardware and software, as well as the enhancement of existing systems
- Participate in service level and work practice reviews
- Maintain currency of technical proficiency and skills
- A detailed working knowledge of Windows 2016 and above server operating systems
- A high level of technical knowledge of server hardware and configuration, and network switches
- A good understanding of end user device and printer support
- Knowledge of Windows 10 and above, iPadOS, and macOS
- A drivers licence is a requirement for this position due to travel required between base location and schools on a regular basis
- Travel and overnight absences from base may be required of this position
