Job Description
We are seeking a high-performing Automation and Optimisation Manager to lead our team in achieving operational excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the automation equipment performs to functional outcomes, capabilities, and throughput/capacity requirements.
This includes developing system performance metrics, participating in system testing, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading technical teams in large-scale order fulfillment environments and a proven track record of driving results in complex matrix environments.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to improve automation efficiency and effectiveness
Lead a team of technical specialists and guide the operations team in optimal setup and technical aspects of the operation
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to optimise processing equipment, control systems, and system functionality
Develop and document complex work instructions, SOPs, and processes
Requirements
Proven leadership skills with ability to optimise team performance and development
Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and modelling
Deep understanding of process, material flows, optimisation of processing equipment, cause-and-effect analysis, and system strategy
Experience working with automation systems and suppliers (e.g., Vanderlande, Dematic, Schaeffer, Swisslog, Knapp, Witron)
