Automation Manager Job

Overview

Join a dynamic team and take on the challenge of optimizing automation systems in our state-of-the-art facility. Located at Moorebank, this site services over 1,000 supermarkets nationwide with more than 12,000 product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure automation equipment performs to functional outcomes, capabilities, and throughput/capacity requirements.

• Participate in system testing, commissioning activities, and operational readiness.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives through supplier relationships, improved operational practices, and business process changes.

• Lead a team of technical specialists and guide operations teams in optimal setup and technical aspects of the operation.

• Develop and document complex work instructions, SOPs, and processes.

Requirements:

• Experience leading technical/reliability/engineering teams in large-scale order fulfillment, manufacturing or continuous processing environments.

• Proven track record of service provider/vendor/contractor management.

• Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and modelling.

• Deep understanding of process, material flows, optimisation of processing equipment, cause-and-effect analysis, and system strategy.
