About the business and the role
We are looking for someone to join our customer service team (immediate start).
Main duties include promptly serving customers in a fast paced environment, barista work, taking cake and bread orders, food preparation, making rolls, wraps and sandwiches at our sandwich bar, set up or close down sandwich bar, setting up shop for trade or closing the shop at the end of trade, cleaning, managing and restocking products throughout the day, operating ovens to warm pies and place in pie urn for sale, vegetable preparation, using a cash register and EFTPOS.
You will also possess excellent customer service skills and a good command of English for communication purposes.
Approximately 22-24 hours per week, including a couple of Monday-Friday shifts but MUST be able to work Saturdays regularly and be able to work Sundays occasionally.
You would be joining a friendly, experienced and talented team of customer service professionals who are passionate about providing first class customer service.
You would be working in a fast paced environment and we are looking for someone with a strong work ethic who likes to keep busy and tackle tasks, ideally with bakery (or similar) experience.
We produce high quality bread, rolls and bakery products for both our bakery shop and wholesale customers including supermarkets.

Job tasks and responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
Promptly greeting and serving customers
Making coffee
No prior barista experience required as full training will be provided
Setting up and closing sandwich bar and making sandwiches to order
Able to work closing shifts and also be trained for opening shifts
Cash register/EFTPOS, opening & closing shop
Taking cake and bread orders
Operating ovens to warm pies and place in pie urn for sale
Dicing and chopping vegetables, onions, mushrooms and grating cheese and carrots
Cleaning cabinets, sandwich bar, floors, shelves etc
Slicing bread
Maintaining bakery cleanliness & WHS standards
Skills and experience
You will have the following skills, experience and characteristics:
Hardworking (not stand idle), reliable, personable, presentable and honest
Bakery (or similar) take away customer service experience
Minimum of 1 year's experience in bakery or similar takeaway customer service is required
Be keen to undertake tasks rather than leave them for others and show initiative
Able to cope in a fast paced environment
You take great pride in your work
Able to remain calm when working under pressure and achieve consistent high results
Operate with a "can do" attitude and are self motivated and flexible
Able to use initiative, problem solve and be flexible
A team player with good inter-personal skills, and able to take direction from experienced staff
