Job Description - Front of House Kitchenhand

Are you passionate about the hospitality industry? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a skill for creating memorable dining experiences? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Front of House Kitchenhand at our catering department located in Mapleton.

As a Front of House Kitchenhand, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, working closely with our talented chefs and food handlers. Your main responsibility will be to assist in the efficient running of the dining area, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that all food handling and safety regulations are adhered to. QCCC is a ministry of the Queensland Baptists, therefore, in carrying out functions and relating to guests and colleagues, QCCC staff are expected to endorse, model and promote Christian values.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining area at all times.
- Set up and prepare the dining area for service, including arranging tables and chairs, placing out cutlery, and ensuring a warm and welcoming ambiance.
- Greet guests, introduce the meal procedures, answering any questions they may have about the meals or directing them to your supervisor depending on your training.
- Receive and respond to requests accurately and promptly, ensuring special requests or allergies are communicated to the cooking staff.
- Serve food in a professional and friendly manner, maintaining a high level of customer service throughout.
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests.
- Assist in the washing and sanitising of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Support the team in maintaining and replenishing food and beverage supplies as needed.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, following the direction and guidelines provided by our chefs.

**Requirements**:

- A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
- A positive and adaptable attitude, as well as a team player mindset.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications, Licences, Cards
- A Blue Card for working with Children Check is essential (Can be applied for with help from QCCC)
