
Manufacturing Operations Team Leader

We have an awesome opportunity for a Team Leader to join our Rail Products Cold Section team based at Molycop's Waratah plant.
This role offers a competitive salary with other benefits including good work-life balance, being a Monday to Friday day shift role.
**About the role**
You will be responsible for:
- leading a team of machinists, inspectors and operators across a multi-shift operation producing high class rail wheels as part of the Molycop business, including the safety, performance, planning, productivity and training of the team;
- the implementation of strategies to continuously improve the safety and operational performance of your team while keeping our quality promise to customers;
- implementing the department's production plan in terms of quality, quantity and timeliness; and
- optimising asset management through operational discipline and cost management processes.
**About you**
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate safety and customer focus as core values and have a number of years frontline leadership experience.
An understanding of manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement processes will be advantageous, but not essential.
Other key attributes are:
- A people focused leader with strong people and operations management experience
- High level of data analysis and analytical skills
- Demonstrated experience with managing projects and implementing organisational and cultural change
- Sound computer literacy (Microsoft Office suite)
- Mechanical aptitude and previous heavy manufacturing leadership is highly desirable but there is also potential for you to grow into the role
- Machining or NDT experience is advantageous however not essential
