**COMPANY**

Located in the Adelaide CBD, our client is an Australian-owned and operated and trusted partner to the defense and cyber communities.
**We are currently hiring for a Finance and Accounting Officer (Bookkeeper, Payroll, AP/AR).** Our client offers a supportive and flexible working environment with competitive remuneration, salary packaging options, and various benefits to support team members' professional and personal growth.

**ROLE**

As a Finance and Accounting Officer (Bookkeeper, Payroll, AP/AR), you will play a crucial role in our finance department. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be based in the Head Office in the CBD and have the opportunity for career progression as the business evolves.
- Handling end-to-end payroll processes, including reviewing data/timesheets, calculating and entering data, and maintaining payroll information
- Assisting with Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Business Activity Statements, and other accounting tasks
- Performing data entry into financial software systems, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable and payable
- Assisting with accounts receivable and payable processes
- Conducting various finance functions such as bank reconciliations, supplier management, and auditing
- Coordinating travel expenses and arrangements for staff

**YOU**

To be considered for this role, you must be an Australian citizen and eligible for necessary security clearances.
- Proficiency in using financial software, preferably MYOB.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Microsoft Office skills)
- Experience with task tracking tools such as Atlassian - Jira, Confluence (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, and strong organisaitonal abilities
- Understanding of financial accounting processes, preferably in medium-sized organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Willingness to learn and adapt to diverse tasks
