Forming a part of the Social and Financial inclusion team the Project Officer Volunteer Programs will be responsible for the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors scheme (ACVVS), which links volunteers with socially isolated people residing in an aged care facilities or in their homes.

Working within a community development framework, The Project Officer will be responsible for implementing strategies and following best practice to build the capacity of volunteering within the program.

This role will be responsible for the recruitment, supervision, encouragement, and training of volunteers; maintaining accurate records regarding volunteers and producing appropriate reporting as required.

**Selection criteria**

**Essential**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or a certificate qualification in the social and community services field with substantial years of relevant experience in a community development role
- Sound knowledge of the aged care sector gained though experience, training, or education.
- Demonstrated ability to set outcomes and work methods.
- Sound skills in supervising and/or mentoring volunteers and/or staff.
- Sound verbal and written communication skills including networking, stakeholder engagement, research and report writing skills.
- Demonstrated computing ability including the use of Microsoft and database programs.

**Additional requirements
- A current NSW Drivers licence and willingness to travel.
- Willingness to undergo a National criminal history record check.
- Vaccination evidence - Covid and Flu
