As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement agreements, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with policies and guidelines.
You will provide expert advice, oversee contract performance, and contribute to strategic decision-making to enhance procurement efficiency.We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our client's dynamic team and contribute to their mission of making services more accessible and efficient.
If you have expertise in procurement planning, sourcing, and contract management, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact.Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and implementation of procurement agreements aligned with policies, procedures, and guidelines.Understand business needs to determine procurement planning and market engagement strategies.Engage and negotiate with suppliers to deliver value-for-money procurement outcomes.Provide expert advice to senior managers on contract service deliverables.Manage contract performance, identify financial risks, and recommend solutions.Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Oversee RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, including drafting, evaluation, and documentation review.Ensure compliance with privacy, data security, fraud prevention, and integrity policies.Skills, Experience and Qualifications:Proven experience in procurement and supplier engagement within a government environment, essential.Strong contract management and negotiation skills.Ability to analyse, document, and improve contract services.Independent judgment and problem-solving abilities in complex procurement scenarios.Expertise in influencing strategic decision-making processes.Experience in legal contract review.For all Australian based contract and temporary roles, please note the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading.
