Your new position, reporting to the Head of Marketing, will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of our manufactured and sourced product ranges.
This includes the design and development optimisation, evaluation and ongoing technical feasibility of our products.What's in it for you?

Own the creation, ongoing refinement, prioritisation, and ultimate successful execution of manufactured and new product roadmapManage existing products portfolios to ensure profitability and strategic product life cycles (includes sales, margins, volume and stock levels review)Create every aspect of new innovative products from conception, delivery to distribution centres and supporting customersDevelop a deep understanding of our customers, putting their needs at the centre of all product design and developmentManage the quality & technical specifications of all hardwood products for PortaDevelop a deep understanding of competitors including positioning, product performance and pricingDevelop and maintain the company database, intranet and ERPRepresent the company at trade showsManage price increase process and price lists internal and externally (customers)Develop a compelling and relevant product vision using trend research, customer loyalty / insights, customer feedback / research and internal operational metricsBuild a culture of new product delivery speed and excellence, crafting innovative solutions to solve significant customer problems and getting them into market quickly and efficiently.
Set criteria to increase the speed / frequency with which enhancements and new capabilities are deliveredLead product roll out efforts in collaboration with marketing and production teams to launch to marketIdentify, develop and manage relationships with strategic partners and suppliers both domestic and abroadStock level establishment and coordination in preliminary trial and launch phasesResponsible for preparation of documentation and input to technical specifications, installation manuals and information for sales and marketingResponsible for the development of production tooling, jigs, fixtures and assembly processes in liaison with production teamWhat you will have :Minimum 5 years' experience in product development (preferably manufacturing / timber / building products)Customer insights leading to product development innovation experienceHands-on Building / interiors industry skills is preferred but not essentialMechanical engineering skills and experienceExperience working with internal and external design and engineering teamsExperience in testing and verification procedures and methodsCommunication skills to uncover and work through complexityTeam leading skills and experience to meet project goalsHighly skilled in excel and project managementApplicants will be assessed as they apply so if you are interested in applying "APPLY NOW", don't miss out.Porta values and is committed to creating a diverse working environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
