The Company :
A leading Australian brand based in Sydney requires an Analytics Engineer Contractor to work on a variety of projects supporting data initiatives within an enterprise environment.
You must be based in Sydney and be able to work in-office 3 days per week.
The Role :
Collaborate with Technical BAs and Stakeholders to finalise requirements and translate them into technical specification e.g., Conceptual, and logical data models.
Develop complex Enterprise data models using DAX and optimize performance for large enterprise scale datasets.
Develop and maintain end-to-end BI Data modelling solutions, including Azure Synapse data models, PowerBI semantic models, deployment pipelines and PowerBI dashboards and reports.
Keep documentation current such as Data Model solutions (e.g., Conceptual, physical and Entity relationship diagrams).
Collaborate with the data engineering team to identify and resolve data quality issues.
Conduct performance tuning and optimisation activities to improve the overall performance of Power BI solutions.
Promote use of PowerBI with cross-functional teams to drive business opportunities and efficiencies.
Your Skillset :
Information Technology degree / diploma; Certification in MS Azure (Synapse, Analytics) highly desirable.
Proven experience as a BI Data Modeller, with strong portfolio of successful Power BI Projects.
Strong understanding of data modelling concepts, dimensional & tabular modelling, and data warehouse design principals.
Technical strengths in Azure Synapse, SQL, PowerBI, DAX, Power Query & Power Automate and data modelling tools.
Expertise in PowerBI data model optimisation using a variety of external tools.
Strong data warehousing solutions & patterns experience.
Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions and work within cross-functional, Agile teams.
Knowledge of Fabric highly desirable.
