Join Our Inpatient Mental Health Nursing Team - Provide compassionate care when it matters most. In Bega, Mental Health Nurses on the inpatient ward provide critical, compassionate care to individuals experiencing acute mental health crises. What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist, using best practice evidence, provides person-centered specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for the designated specialty in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team. Provides clinical leadership, support and supervision for less experienced clinicians to achieve people-focused quality care.
Selection Criteria
Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications in mental health with a minimum of three years' experience working in the clinical specialty.
Demonstrated competencies in and knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in providing specialty nursing care in a multidisciplinary team context.
Ability to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision making and leadership in the development of nursing specialty practice advancement.
Effective clinical communication through information technology, written and verbal means; sound interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact professionally with others.
Knowledge and application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualized person-centred care at an extended role level with a commitment to quality improvement.
Ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care; willingness to show leadership and embrace change in care coordination and delivery.
Evidence of participation in ongoing professional development, a commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of mental health skills, and willingness to share expertise as a mentor within the specialty.
