Job Summary
The Cloud/AWS Infrastructure Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and security of our digital infrastructure. This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable AWS environments that support mission-critical applications.
About the Role
This AWS Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure solutions that meet business needs. Responsibilities include:
Designing and implementing secure, high-performance AWS architectures
Using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
Configuring networks (VPCs, subnets, peering, NAT, Transit Gateway)
Automating provisioning and deployment with CI/CD pipelines
Containerizing workloads with ECS, EKS, or Fargate
Monitoring and optimizing AWS resources using CloudWatch and X-Ray
Mentoring junior engineers and conducting code reviews
Improving DevOps workflows and engineering standards
Your Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, preferably supporting production environments
Solid experience with IaC and automation
Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Proficiency with DevOps toolchains (Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm)
Knowledge of serverless architectures and event-driven design
