Senior AWS Cloud Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to assume responsibility for the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure on AWS. This highly specialized role requires a strong background in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud architectures using various AWS services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust and secure cloud infrastructure solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and others.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and repeatable infrastructure as code (IaC) processes using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or CDK to automate provisioning and configuration management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud-based applications and services, while optimizing application architecture for scalability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues related to AWS infrastructure deployments and performance, utilizing monitoring tools like CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS Cost Explorer.
  • Develop and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline the deployment, testing, and monitoring of cloud-based applications and services.
  • Implement and manage AWS security features, including IAM roles and policies, VPC security groups, and encryption mechanisms to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS, including significant hands-on experience with AWS services and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of IaC principles, CI/CD workflows, containerization, and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
