**Trade Assistant - Processing & Assembly**

You will be reporting to the Workshop Supervisor and Operations Manager responsible for assisting Boilermaker/Welders in their role, ensuring client requirements are met.

**Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to**
- Processing Steel including Measuring, Cutting, Drilling, Punching, Grinding as per instructions
- Assembly of finished fabricated products
- Keep work area and equipment clean and organised
- Support the team with other tasks as required while conforming with regulations and safety requirements

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Experienced with power and hand tools
- Experienced with use of
- Semi-Automatic Bandsaw
- Drill Press
- Oxy and Plasma Cutting
- Punch & Shear
- Pressing / Bending
- CNC controlled machinery experience preferred.
- Strong initiative and willingness to work hard is essential
- Attention to detail and able to meet deadlines is essential
- Able to lift 20kgs manually is essential
- Experience using overhead crane
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team is essential
- Proactive, reliable and self-motivated
- Forklift licence is essential
- Familiarity with standard OH&S requirements and procedures.
- Wear all required PPE

**Salary**: $32.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Maddington, WA 6109: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
