The Hospital Research Foundation (THRF) Group is seeking an outstanding individual to join the Arthritis team as a Health Educator.

THRF Group Arthritis is part of THRF Group, providing support and information to people living with arthritis, osteoporosis and other musculoskeletal conditions, their carers, family, community, and health professionals. The service provides support and education across the continuum of the care, providing expert information and services that no private or government agency offers.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Program Director - THRF Group Arthritis, the Health Educator will provide support and advice to South Australian's living with Arthritis. This role includes:

- Engagement with all forms of media and face to face platforms to promote, disseminate and provide evidenced based arthritis related information to consumers
- Provision of information and support to assist consumers to understand, engage with and navigate health, disability, social and other programs, or services
- Participation in the development and evaluation of health promotion and public health projects and undertake special projects as part of a whole of services approach
- Assisting in the development, delivery and evaluation of innovative evidenced based health promotion, health education and services.

**About you**
- A relevant degree in nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy or related allied health discipline or health promotion
- Experience in the delivery of group based and individual education to consumers from across the community and healthcare professionals in a range of settings including face to face workshops and events
- Effective understanding of primary and tertiary healthcare in South Australia
- Demonstrated effective professional presentation skills
- Contemporary understanding of arthritis and/or Chronic Disease Management
- Ability to establish, develop and maintain high level professional relationships internally and externally with a variety of stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a MDT team with excellent organisational, time management and communication skills

**Screening requirements**

Satisfactory outcomes for the following probity checks will be required as a part of your employment:

- DHS Working with Children Clearance (WWCC); and
- National Police Check (NPC)
