Be part of a global industry leader in logistics and supply chain solutions.Enjoy a supportive and collaborative team environment.Opportunity to develop your skills and grow your career in a well-established and respected organization.Secure consistent working hours: Monday to Friday, 1:30pm - 9:30pmKey Responsibilities:As Dispatch Coordinator your overall responsibility is to help ensure a swift and efficient flow of inbound / outbound goods and vehicles to the DC.
Tasks and duties will include: Manage delivery and pick-up time-slotsCheck all trucks have started shift on timeReview AM shift and adjust for an changes (rolled or dropped loads from previous shift)Provide essential support to the Dock Office, Warehouse and Operations teamsAssist with issue resolution Assist with re-booking or adjustments to loads and time slot bookings to cover unlanned leave (driver unwell or truck broken down), and all follow up communication with the broader teams.Process driver paperwork, including load manifests and pallet transfer documentation.Monitor driver check-in/check-out processes and ensure site inductions for new drivers.Book transport through carrier online portals.Ensure drivers comply with PPE requirements (Hi-Vis clothing, safety boots).
Report late and unscheduled vehicles.Complete reporting - End of Shift report for matters to handover to AM team, and a Shift report (tonnage dispatched, issues reported, unplanned events (sick leave, breakdowns etc) that occured during shiftConduct general administration tasks, including filing, updating data and reporting.Assist with overseeing shift activity to ensure schedule is being executed as planned, communicate with your manager if resources are behind.
About You:The ideal candidate will bring:Previous experience as in a Dispatch role within a fast-paced supply chain or transport environment is essentialStrong organisational skills with the ability to remain calm under pressureA proactive approach to planning, communication and identifying of potential issuesSAP experience highly regardedA professional phone and email mannerEasily adapt to changes in workload or pressureHigh attention to detail is essentialSelf motivated to drive your success in the role and companyExperience with dispatch administration - delivery dockets, connotes, Chep pallet transfers, basic reporting, booking transport, receipting and allocation of stock in systemsPlease note that if successful for the role will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test and police check - Randstad will arrange these for you.This is your chance to join a forward-thinking organisation and contribute to its ongoing success.
