**The Organisation**

Our client is a peak membership-based body working collaboratively with individuals, organisations and community members at a state and national level supporting organisations that provide mental health services, programs, and support to extensive sectors of our community. They influence community attitudes, policy, advocacy, and development for the benefit of all Western Australians.

**The Role**

This role is perfect for an individual who likes to make a significant impact, priding themselves on the knowledge that they have made a positive difference.

You will do this by:

- Implementing a **systemic advocacy **plan that drives change as well as builds effective relationships with a range of stakeholders including key sector partners, members, and representative organisations.
- Support the development and implementation of the organisations **Mental Health Promotion** agenda using a public health approach to guide the communications and events team to deliver the message.
- Develop a symbiotic relationship with **members** understanding their needs and views, creating events to reinforce engagement, while gaining a stronger appreciation of their representative needs.
- This is a key position in the **leadership** team, working closely with the CEO, providing clear direction and guidance for your team, monitoring and improving performance.
- Develop, monitor, and manage **budgets**.
- Prepare **reports** to the CEO and board on attainment of strategic objectives.

**You**

Previous skills include:

- Formal experience or qualifications in public health, health promotion or a related field.
- Experience in planning, co-ordinating and delivering effective and complex public policy advice and advocacy.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships with diverse community members of various skill level, representing interests, and influencing effectively.
- Excellent written communication skills that communicate in a clear and compelling manner.
- Highly developed time management skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Strong leadership style developing a cohesive, supportive team.
