**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
No two days are the same as a Tour Guide at the Perth Mint. Tour Guides tell stories of the history of the Perth Mint and Western Australian gold rush, conduct our famous gold pours, and assist in selling personalised medallions. From hosting school groups, to international visitors, and VIP's, this is an engaging and fun role for those who love telling stories and connecting with people.

**Summary of Responsibilities**:

- Host tours for visitors, school groups, media, inbound tour groups, corporate clients, and VIPs.
- Perform gold pouring demonstrations in the Melting House for audiences of up to 75 people at a time, involving heavy lifting and pouring molten gold into a bar.
- Engrave and sell personalised medallions to visitors and corporate clients, including bulk orders.
- Engage with culturally and linguistically diverse client base in a friendly and professional manner and answer questions based on an in-depth knowledge of the gold industry and The Perth Mint's history and current operations.
- Promote the Mint at tourism and other external events, such as WA Week.
- Ensure own safety and health at work and avoid adversely affecting the safety or health of any other person through any act or omission at work.

**We are looking for someone who has the following**:

- Customer service experience
- Enjoys public speaking
- Must be over 18 years old
- Theatrical or public speaking experience (preferred)
- Speaks an additional language (Chinese, Japanese, Mandarin) is desirable
- Availability to work weekdays, weekends and school holidays
