Our embedded software engineers are part of teams across Global Banking and Markets, Asset and Wealth Management, Platform Solutions, our Engineering division, and control teams such as Compliance, Risk, and Human Capital.Regardless of the team, you will have opportunities to collaborate across the firm in an agile environment where your enthusiasm for new problems and learning will have an immediate impact.As a software engineer, you will encounter:Building and enhancing high-performing applications using languages like Java and PythonDeveloping and deploying scalable solutions on the cloudWorking with tools like Apache Kafka, Spark, and Hadoop for large-scale data processingBuilding secure, efficient RESTful APIs and microservicesOptimizing deployment pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, and TerraformPartnering with security teams to ensure compliance and robust defensesQualifications1-6 years of relevant experienceProficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++Experience with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle and writing optimized queriesFamiliarity with distributed systems, messaging platforms, and cloud platformsAttention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and a positive work ethicAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and independently evaluate situationsStrong communication skills for interacting with senior management and stakeholdersDiscretion with sensitive information, integrity, and sound judgmentAbout Goldman SachsFounded in 1869, Goldman Sachs is a leading global investment banking, securities, and investment management firm headquartered in New York, with offices worldwide.
