Allied Health Assistant

About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Allied Health Assistant to join our team, providing exceptional support to a client with autism and complex medical needs. This role is perfect for someone with a positive, mentoring approach who is eager to make a meaningful impact on someone's life.Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver tailored support to a client with autism and medical needs, promoting independence and well-being.
- Assist with therapy plans under the guidance of allied health professionals, particularly occupational therapists.
- Provide personal care, daily living support, and community engagement activities.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team.
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment to support the client's growth and development.

Essential Requirements:

- A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license for community-based support.
- Australian Business Number (ABN) for contractor arrangements.
- Experience as a support worker, particularly with clients with autism and medical needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, mentoring attitude.
- Ability to make a meaningful, positive impact on the client's life.
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable Qualifications:

- Background or experience in Occupational Therapy (OT) is highly preferred.
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a similar role supporting individuals with complex needs.
