As the Executive Manager you will drive the innovation and development of the Everyday Banking portfolio, ensuring that this portfolio is meeting the needs of Suncorp's customers and is aligned to the Group's purpose, building futures and protecting what matters. The object of this role also includes ensuring the appropriate assessment and mitigation of operational risk and management of compliance obligations relevant to the Everyday Banking portfolio

**What you will do**
- Planning activities within the Everyday Banking portfolio, including managing the mix and priority of key initiatives, including: cost reduction initiatives, product development & innovation initiatives.
- Ensuring that the portfolio's mix of products and services meets the evolving customer needs and is aligned to the broader Suncorp strategy.
- Leading new product innovation and development in the portfolio, working with Head of Consumer Deposits, Head of Consumer Payments & Treasury Services, Executive Manager Fraud & Investigations and Executive Manager AML/CTF Compliance & Operations
- Management of operational risk and compliance
- Work within the defined tolerances of the Bank's Risk Appetite Statement, to role model and drive a positive risk culture delivering a balanced risk / reward outcome.
- Ensure sound Risk Management principles and systems are in place. This includes proactively identifying risks, implementing actions and improvements, control testing and monitoring remedial outcomes.
- Ensure operational controls are robust and effective in delivering business goals for the Deposits & Investments portfolio.
- Provide operational risk and compliance support to the Everyday Banking portfolio
- Responsible for the design, implementation and leadership of the Everyday Banking portfolio's targeted people strategy that promotes the advancement of a diverse workforce, individual growth, teamwork and a service excellence culture.
- Lead and develop the capability of others through effective coaching, mentoring, professional development and performance management.
- Build a culture/philosophy of learning and collaboration across all teams within Everyday Banking.
- Support the development of customer value propositions for agreed segments in alignment with approved strategy as these relate to Deposits & Investment solutions.
- Support distribution channel selection, in order to maximise whole-of-bank profitability.
- Support new technology implementation as these relate to Everyday Banking

**What you need to bring to the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in business, finance or related discipline mandatory Desired
- Membership of an appropriate professional body Desired
- Eligible to be appointed as Suncorp Responsible Manager or qualifications equivalent to AICD
- Experience in a leadership role, including demonstrated abilities in the development of high performing teams and the development of individual team members is mandatory.
- Diversified experience in banking is mandatory and payments industry experience is desired.
- Exposure to structural change and demonstrated ability to implement effective change
- Comprehensive understanding of the business, market and external environment.
- Demonstrated experience in innovation and product development.
- Thorough understanding of project management and business management.
- Knowledge of profit and loss and balance sheet management.
- Capacity to adapt to a dynamic external environment.
- Developed financial analysis and forecasting skills; knowledge of financial principles.
- Excellent people leadership and development skills.
