To provide ministry support to the various community outreach, youth and children's ministries of Bundamba Corps.

The Role
- To provide ministry support to the various community outreach, youth and children's ministries of Bundamba Corps. To support, disciple and empower young people at Bundamba Corps while growing in their own discipleship.
- You Will Successfully
- Develop, coordinate and lead youth and junior youth ministries at Bundamba Corps.
- Engage in Religious Instruction and support chaplaincy in local schools.
- Develop partnerships with local schools, fostering opportunities for meaningful engagement.
- Connect children and carers from outreach programs to other Corps ministries.
- Coordinate, identify and develop leaders and Youth with potential to serve in ministries and program
- Maintain positive relationships with parents, teenagers and volunteers. Maintain professional boundaries and transparent communication about ministry engagement.
- Mentor teenagers, providing support and encouragement; facilitate teen discipleship groups. Ensure the pastoral and spiritual needs of teenagers are identified and addressed in a consistent and pastorally sensitive manner.
- Model active discipleship through participation in the worship life of the Bundamba Corps, including service on the church Leadership Team.
- Participate in team activities, attend staff meetings when scheduled. Demonstrate a supportive approach to other staff members. Contribute to overall team effectiveness.
- Undertake community pastoral care, discipleship and ministry activities as agreed with Corps Officers.
- Engage in ministry consistent with the doctrines and positions of the International Salvation Army.
- This is a full time position, based in Bundamba, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Ministry Assistant, Hay Level 11.
- You Will Have
- A national police record check is required
- Regular attendance of Bundamba Youth programs, including Friday evenings and Sunday morning worship.
- Valid QLD employee blue card
- Maintain current knowledge of QLD child protection policies and legislation
- A willingness to be a part of the Bundamba Salvation Army faith community and ability to promote and facilitate opportunities that help people to connect with God in a meaningful way.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
- A commitment to the Christian faith and mission of The Salvation Army.
- An ability to offer pastoral assistance, to offer prayer and to explain the Christian Gospel.
- Experience in leading discipleship groups/other discipleship programs.
- Experience in a Youth Ministry position (desirable).
- Capacity to facilitate groups and one to one with a particular focus e.g. faith-based groups.
- A member / soldier of a local Salvation Army Corps (desirable).
