**Your new role**

As the Workforce IAM Assistant Director, you will be working within a leadership position in the Identity and Access Management function, within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This role is responsible for providing strategic direction, oversight, and governance for workforce identity and access management (IAM) initiatives within an Azure and AWS Cloud environment. The Workforce IAM Assistant Director collaborates closely with stakeholders to define IAM strategy, lead cross-functional teams, and advocate for resources to advance IAM capabilities and maturity.

The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to:

- Assisting in defining the strategic vision and roadmap for workforce identity and access management (IAM) initiatives, aligning with organisational goals and industry best practices.
- Leading cross-functional teams to execute IAM projects and strategic vision, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with project objectives.
- Providing oversight and governance for IAM solutions, monitoring performance, compliance, and risk factors.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to identify and prioritise IAM requirements, advocating for resources and support as needed.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the IAM team, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Serve as a key point of contact for IAM-related matters, representing the IAM function in meetings and discussions with senior leadership.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Proven experience in leadership roles, with a focus on identity and access management or related disciplines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving large-scale initiatives to successful outcomes.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to IAM and identity governance.
- Ability to analyse complex issues, identify solutions, and make informed decisions to drive IAM strategy forward.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
