Innovative Projects: KBR's work is at the forefront of engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT and cybersecurity solutions.Collaborative Environment: Be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation, fostering a supportive and intellectually stimulating workplace.Impactful Work: Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense.ResponsibilitiesStudies, designs, specs, and services mechanical systems.Functions as a technical specialist who makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have a far-reaching impact on extensive engineering and related activities.Negotiates critical and controversial issues with top-level engineers and officers of other organizations and companies.Performs advisory and consulting work for the organization as a recognized authority for broad program areas or in an intensely specialized area.Other duties as required.Qualifications / RequirementsMust be a US or Australian citizenMust have a US TS/SCI Clearance w/ Poly, or an Australian PV clearanceMust have a minimum of a BA/BS in Engineering from an accredited institutionMust have a minimum of seven years of mechanical engineering experienceMust have a PE-Mechanical licenseLocation and TypeThis role will be located in Alice Springs, at a 4,400-acre facility with approximately 687,000 square feet of mission and support space.
This position is expected to be onsite 100%.
