The Contract Governance Manager within the ADF HS portfolio is accountable for supporting Head of Contract Governance with ensuring the business is strategically and proactively administering the Head Contracts in the portfolio in line with contractual obligations whilst adhering to internal policies.

ADF Health Services (ADFHS) provides integrated and seamless end-to-end health support to 85,000 Australia Defence Force (ADF) personnel across 59 facilities. This includes a health professional workforce to complement the existing ADF and Australian Public Service (APS) health workforce in providing health services to Defence personnel, along with pathology, imaging and radiology, rehabilitation, mental health, hospital, specialist, allied health and other off base services enabled by Bupa network and systems. Bupa delivers these services under a number of subcontractor relationships with significant governance requirements, reporting obligations and relationship management.

**How will I help?**
- Undertake the negotiation and agreement of commercial matters including new contracts and contract variations to ensure contracts are consistent with the Bupa commercial risk profile and strategic directions.
- Manage the Contract Obligations Management Framework uplift, monitoring and reporting on obligation management and performance to provide confidence to the business with regards to delivery against our contractual responsibilities.
- Implement contract management processes in conjunction with the wider business to optimise the potential of Bupa's relationships with the Commonwealth and contractual compliance.
- Provide accurate, expert and timely contract interpretation, advice, information and reports on the strategic and transactional aspects of contract management relevant to the contract portfolio to highlight any trends, forecasts or risks that require management intervention and/or strategic solutions for further action.
- Identify areas of non-compliance, default or sub-optimal performance, including drafting recommendations suggesting the corrective action to be taken and replies to the Commonwealth agencies on contractual issues.
- Lead, manage and discharge efficiently with a high level of accuracy the delivery of a large portfolio of contractual obligations

**What do I need?**
- Undergraduate and post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline; legal qualifications will be highly regarded
- Relevant professional qualifications and memberships in industry associations are desirable
- Extensive experience in contract management, contract compliance, procurement, or commercial management and/or risk and governance within complex contracts is essential
- Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent training and demonstrated experience in a complex environment.
- Legislative understanding of the National Health Act, Privacy Act (Commonwealth) or other relevant legislation as applicable to each sector.
- Prior experience within a customer-centric and high performing environment
- Advanced level Microsoft office skills.
- Experienced in managing multiple large contracts, with a customer, financial and compliance focus
