**Key External Relationships:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management and administration of the Council meeting, business paper production

and Councillor briefing processes, including publication production, advanced word
processing, strict deadline adherence, internal and external reporting, process
administration and internal training and advice.
- Management, administration and provision of support services to the elected

representative Council body, including administration of Councillor requests and data
processes, Councillor expenses and equipment management and monitoring, and the
provision of day to day assistance and support services such as calendar management
and booking services.
- Manage, administer and oversee correspondenc and engagements within defined

protocols relating to politicial representairves and dignitaries, and events with State
and Federal Members of the Blue Mountains and other Ministers as needed.
- Management and administration of information provision to the elected representative

Council body, including governance publications, training and development
opportunities, information from external agencies, and access under legislative

provisions of the Government Information Public Access (GIPA) Act and Privacy and
Personal Information Protection Act.
- Support governance processes and services, including access to information, privacy

management, customer services, and assist in policy development and participate in
corporate business improvement processes.
- Undertake Government Information Public Access (GIPA) Act and Privacy and

Personal Information Protection (PPIPA) Act processes as required, including receive

interpret legislation and make determinations under the provision of these Acts.
- Support internal review processes and administration, including conduct

comprehensive research, analyse information or data, prepare complex
correspondence and maintain strict confidentiality requirements.
- Management of correspondence and preparation of written responses and reports to

a wide range of internal and external enquiries, some of which may be complex, using
research techniques.
- Other duties are required, including administration and support across team functions,

special project facilitation or involvement, internal training and advice, and the
provision of internal and external customer service and complaint management.
- To provide project support and primary cover to the activities performed by Strategic

Councillor and Governance Officer, and to the Privacy and Information Officer, as well
as, to the Policy and Compliance Officer as required.
- To produce and present induction and, ongoing training in the use of specialised

software and processes to staff throughout the organisation in both one on one, and
group training.

**Workplace Health & Safety**

Ensure compliance with WHS obligations and responsibilities as outlined in Councils
policies and procedures and under the relevant WHS legislation. These include but are
not limited to: identifying potentially unsafe situations or work practices and notifying your
Supervisor or Manager (or the Health, Safety Manager/Area Safety Representative);
never performing a task that you believe is dangerous or for which you do not have the
experience, or have not received appropriate instructions and training or where the correct
equipment to carry out the task safely is not available; always work in a safe manner and
in accordance with safety instructions, where applicable; use the work equipment supplied
for the job, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions), and any personal

protective equipment, which the Council deems necessary and has provided; be safety
aware and report any actions to your line manager which will assist the Council to meet
its legal workplace health and safety obligations.
