As the **Content and Social Specialist,** your role is essential in supporting the smooth operation and execution of social content and brand initiatives across David Jones' digital and social platforms. You will bring David Jones' brand to life across digital social channels — shaping storytelling, driving cultural relevance, and growing our brand's emotional connection with customers.

You will lead the execution of strategic brand content, campaign amplification, influencer programs, and social community management — ensuring every touchpoint is crafted with precision, cultural credibility, and commercial savvy. You'll partner closely with content agencies, internal stakeholders, and platform managers to ensure David Jones' presence is consistently influential, contemporary, and unmistakably distinct.

This role is perfect for someone highly organised and detail-oriented, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about content marketing. With an eye for detail your proactive co-ordination will help uphold our premium brand standards while ensuring seamless behind-the-scenes delivery.

You'll have the opportunity to craft engaging visuals and copy, manage the scheduling of posts, analyse performance, support influencer collaborations, and work cross-functionally to ensure brand consistency. Staying across the latest trends and best practices, you'll help grow our online presence and connect meaningfully with our audience.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, external suppliers, and internal stakeholders to assist in the rollout of campaigns, events, and seasonal activations—contributing to an elevated brand presence and exceptional customer experience

**_ What_** your day looks like**
- Deliver world-class brand content across social, digital, and in-store channels, aligned to David Jones' brand and business priorities.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to shape campaign narratives and ensure content is fit for purpose across platforms.
- Drive a strong social-first lens into campaign briefs, with a particular focus on always-on storytelling, influencer marketing, and event amplification (e.g. David Jones Flower Show, Australian Fashion Week).

Social Media Management
- Develop and implement the social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Manage day-to-day publishing, scheduling, and community engagement, working in partnership with Customer Service teams to maintain a consistent brand voice.
- Monitor channel health and sentiment, identifying opportunities to optimise engagement, reach, and advocacy.

Influencer and Advocacy Programs
- Lead the development and delivery of influencer and creator partnerships, ensuring they align to brand values and drive meaningful cultural cut-through.
- Manage the influencer budget and agency relationships to maximise ROI and innovation.
- Build internal brand advocacy programs to amplify team and brand partner storytelling.
- Own social media performance reporting, providing weekly and monthly insights that inform strategy optimisation.
- Use analytics to make data-driven recommendations for content improvements, channel evolution, and audience growth.
- Partner with eCommerce and Loyalty teams to leverage social insights into customer acquisition and retention strategies.

Operational Excellence
- Maintain strong budget discipline across content, influencer, and Chinese marketing investments.
- Uphold compliance with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and best practice policies.
- Maintain and archive social and campaign content assets effectively.

**_ What_** you'll need to thrive**
- 5+ years in social media, digital content or brand marketing roles, preferably in premium retail, lifestyle or agency sectors.
- Proven experience growing brand equity and engagement across multiple platforms, with a strong focus on TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube.
- Experience developing and executing integrated influencer strategies.
- Strong creative judgement with a sharp eye for brand storytelling, aesthetic quality, and audience resonance.
- Exceptional organisation skills — adept at juggling multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Analytical mindset, comfortable turning data into strategy and action.
