Can you stay one step ahead of maintenance challenges to make our guests' safety and comfort your number one priority? We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our Leadership Team at Crowne Plaza Sydney Darling Harbour.

**Every day is different, but you'll mostly be**:

- Managing daily maintenance needs to ensure the right team is always on the right task in accordance with company standards
- Managing your team of Handypersons, plan and assign daily tasks and provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback
- Carrying our a preventative maintenance programme that creates a safe, secure and comfortable environment for our guests to enjoy
- Helping to prepare the departmental budget and keeping tight control of expenses
- Leading any hotel renovations and other projects, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion of projects within budget
- Maintaining good working relationships with outside contractors and trades
- Be the point of call for emergency maintenance which could also include outside of business hours - handling power failures, fire system resets, and mechanical meltdowns

**What We need from you**:

- Previous experience managing a maintenance department and external contractors, ideally in a hotel environment
- Excellent communication, attention to detail and strong problem solving skills
- Understanding of Hotel Property Management Systems would be highly regarded
- Computer savvy with ability to learn and understand IHG property maintenance system
- Eligibility to work full time in Australia.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with conflicting deadlines
