Part-Time Permanent Nanny For A 3.5Yo Boy + Baby Brother On The Way

**Our Family**:

- We're a family with 2 full-time working parents, a bright and happy 3.5yo boy, and a baby boy on the way in July. Our 3yo is fun and curious, and currently loves to make his own books about dinosaurs, space, volcanos, and travel. His favourite activities include drawing/painting, reading books, and visting playground, museums, and zoos. NOTE: we're looking for a nanny to primarily look after our 3yo for the moment. After his baby brother arrives, mum or dad will be home on leave for 6-8 months and we expect the nanny to remain focused on our 3yo but might occasionally swap or need to care for both for half-days. From March onwards, our 3yo will be attending his preschool 5 days a week, so the nanny will switch to primarily looking after our newborn.

**Your Duties**:

- Hours
- Mondays and Tuesdays, 8am-6pm
- Paid annual leave and personal leave as per award Key Responsibilities:

- Supervising and ensuring child's safety and wellbeing at all times
- Planning and providing age-appropriate, engaging indoor/outdoor play and activities
- Transporting to and from activities
- Preparing healthy meals/snacks
- Supporting naps in a flexible, responsive manner
- Washing, folding and organising child's clothes and linens
- Attending to hygiene and toileting needs (nappy changes, toilet training, bathing)
- Child-related tidying and light cleaning (e.g. changing cot bedding, cleaning up after meals/play)
- Helping with light household chores if time allows after child-related tasks Essential Criteria:

- Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Formal qualification in early childhood education (or related field)
- Minimum 12 months full-time equivalent experience working with children
- Minimum 2 professional references
- Full NSW driver's licence, own car and child seat
- National Criminal Record Check + Working With Children Check
- Current first aid certificate
- Comfortable attending swimming lessons with the child Please note: No heavy cleaning duties are expected - the family has a weekly cleaner. No cooking expected except for the child's meals and snacks. We're looking for a nanny not a housekeeper

**Our Perfect Caregiver**:

- Our current nanny of 2.5+ years is moving on to a new job aligned with her degree, so we're looking for someone who can step into her shoes caring for our 3yo and later caring for our second child. We're looking for someone who: - has experience working with little ones, including babies;
- understands the developmentally appropriate behaviours of young children and responsive to their needs;
- is flexible and adaptable to child's routine changes;
- is enagaing and can plan varied and stimulating activities, both at home and out-and-about for children;
- can support the growth and development of young children through gentle guidance.
