Due to contract agreements expiring, two positions are available in Sydney's inner western suburbs for a QA and Technical Officer, with one of Australia's leading food manufacturers. Our client has enjoyed significant growth and is now one of Australia's most recognised fresh food suppliers. This company supply fresh produce and ready to eat products to a variety of customers around the country. Working in a small team and Reporting to the Site QA Manager, your role will be to assist with the coordination of quality assurance, regulatory and compliance for this site. These positions are permanent full time, 5 days per week with business working hours.

We are seeking a hands-on QA Professional who can provide technical advice, lead internal audits, verify documentation, conduct investigations, and carry out testing to ensure all products produced meet customer specifications and food safety standards. The Site QA Manager is very helpful, strategically minded and has a wealth of knowledge to assist you while the other members of the team can help you settle into the position.

Typical duties include:

- Conduct GMP and HACCP checks across the site
- Lead any QA investigations of non-conformances and ensure any issues raised are rectified
- Collect product and environment samples for testing
- Review and improve internal food safety systems where necessary
- Ensure products meet requirements, as dictated by customer needs, regulatory bodies, and internal procedures
- Drive root cause analysis of non-conformities and actively improve product quality
- Review and verify production documentation
- Provide food science expertise and educate others on food safety
- Identify any areas for improvement
- Assist in the promotion of a strong Quality minded site culture
- Other duties as required

To be considered for this opportunity, the following requirements are needed:

- Strong technical food knowledge - Qualifications in food science, or a related discipline
- Experience in QA roles within food manufacturing (or similar)
- High attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
