Software Engineer Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled software engineer to contribute to the development and improvement of infra tooling for Android mainline modules.
Main Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance critical infra tooling for Android mainline modules.
Create solutions to improve the Android developer experience in the Android and Google toolchain.
Collaborate with Android module teams to define quality standards and scale them across the ecosystem.
Resolve Android launch blockers in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Partner with Android companies to enhance Android module quality beyond Google's product line.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
At least one year of software development experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
One year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
In-depth understanding of mobile operating systems from both a technical and business perspective.
Familiarity with developments in the mobile industry.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with external partners, particularly in the APAC region.
