Associate Veterinarian

The successful candidate will join a 7-vet team consisting of experienced clinicians and a specialist equine surgeon.
All staff are committed to delivering high-quality veterinary medicine and excellent client communication and service.The role is full time, including a rotation of after-hours shifts.
A vehicle and support for after-hours will be provided.The successful applicant will work across the small animal and equine hospital and also perform ambulatory work.
The mixed practice caseload involves small animals, horses and small ruminants, as well as many referred equine surgical and medical cases.
The practice has a growing referral equine caseload, and a large number of major surgeries are performed.
The clinic also has a significant equine and canine reproduction workload.This well-established practice is purpose-built with full hospital facilities for both small animals and horses.
The practice has an in-house laboratory, radiology, orthopaedic equipment, ultrasonography (echocardiology, abdominal, reproductive, tendons, etc.), arthroscopy, endoscopy, ultrasonic dental instrumentation, anaesthetic monitoring equipment and ASIF instrumentation.The town offers a great lifestyle, fantastic leisure activities and sporting opportunities, including the Great Barrier Reef and islands at its doorstep.A veterinary degree registerable in Queensland, enthusiasm and willingness to work as part of a team of people who enjoy their profession.
A sense of humour and being keen to learn are considered an asset.
