We deliver a broad range of services focused on the wellbeing and independence of individuals, families and communities across Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales.About The RoleAs a Behaviour Support Practitioner (BSP) in the Specialist Services Team, the number one goal is to improve the quality of life of all of our NDIS participants.
Through positive behaviour strategies and collaboration, we support participants to gain control, independence and to make positive lifestyle changes.Whether you are an experienced practitioner or fresh out of university with a qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or similar, this is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people living with a disability.
We will provide you with a structured induction and on the job training to ensure you have all of the necessary tools to succeed in your role
Your Day To DayBuilding close relationships with participants, their families and service providers by creating a supportive and safe environmentProviding professional information to people with disability and their support circle regarding evidence-based approaches to reduce the impact of challenging behaviourEnsuring the support that we deliver aligns with the participant's NDIS PlanUndertaking behavioural assessments with NDIS participants who have complex and challenging behavioursDeveloping and implementing intervention strategies in consultation with individuals and familiesEnsuring support plans, notes and documents are recorded in line with the NDIS framework and with a high level of care and accuracyWhat You Will Bring To The RoleCompleted degree qualification (or higher) in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling, or similarExperience or knowledge of contemporary practices and trends in relation to service provision for people with intellectual and/or cognitive disabilitiesThe ability to motivate, build rapport and attune with participants, their families and service providers - you are a true people personYou enjoy being out on the road attending client visits (pool vehicles available)Knowledge of or experience with restrictive practicesExposure to developing and implementing positive behaviour support plansAn understanding of good clinical practice, the jurisdictional requirements and the context in which Behaviour Support is providedStrong IT, admin and organisation skills as you will be working with billable timeBenefits and PerksPackage up to $15,900 of your annual salary tax free, and additional $2,650 for meal and entertainment expenses.Use your pre-tax income to purchase a new or used car, saving on both the purchase price and running costs.Discounts on Corporate Private Health Insurances, Fitness Facilities, Select Kia Vehicles, and appliances.Supportive Induction and Learning OpportunitiesEmployee Assistance Program.Reward and Recognition Program.Intrigued?
