The Salvation Army Australia's Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children's and parenting services, counselling, support, men's programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.

Why this role matters

We have a new and exciting National position that will provide specialist knowledge, expertise and resources to support contemporary and evidence-based family violence service delivery across Australia.

The position will lead the project design and delivery of Family Violence specific projects including:

- Drive the implementation of recent Victorian Family Violence Case Management and Crisis Responses reforms
- Review and assess family violence operations to determine their effectiveness
- Make recommendations and provide specialist support to managers in the development of service enhancement and innovation in service delivery
- Develop processes and procedures that facilitate consistent best practice service delivery and support managers in Victoria to implement these
- Plan, direct and analyse Family Violence operations including providing analyses, interpretation, and implementation of reforms at a national level.
- Develop evidence, reports, procedures, materials, or collateral that supports practice
- Undertake and implement quality and continuous improvement across the Family Violence stream

In this role you will be a member of the family violence stream leadership team and will contribute to national frameworks and family violence evidence-based practice to ensure innovative and client centred service delivery to meet current and future needs.

This is a full time maximum term position for 12 months. Based in Blackburn Victoria, this will role will require travel within the state.

What we're looking for
- Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field and relevant experience
- Post graduate qualification would be highly regarded
- Experience in project management within the community service sector at a leadership level
- Experience in active membership in community or government bodies within the family violence sector
- Advanced computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite and with project management software
- A current VIC Drivers Licence
- Valid VIC Employee Working with Children Check
- Ability to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
