In the role of an Eligibility Officer you will be the first point of contact responsible for coordinating and obtaining information from key stakeholders to determine the acceptance or rejection of the claim in line with legislation. Your strength in technical knowledge and resilience to achieve business and Return to Work SA objectives, through utilisation of your analytical and communication capability will see you succeed in this position.
**You will add value to Gallagher Bassett across the following**:
- Actively listen, show empathy and recognise the needs of the worker and employer
- Consider Compliance, Medical Relationship, Employment Relationship and Exclusionary Provisions when reviewing liability;
- Identifying any potential barriers and providing effective strategies for eligibility outcomes;
- Communicating all decisions to the employer and the injured worker
- Providing education to Workers, Employer and Treating Medical Practioner in respect to rights and responsibilities;
- Delivering a high level of service to achieve a positive, safe and sustained return to work as early as possible in a high-pressure environment
- Creating new claims at time of registration via phone and ensuring all relevant data and information is captured within the appropriate systems.

- Claims management experience and knowledge of relevant acts and legislative requirements
- Understanding the rights and responsibilities of people who are impacted by a workplace injury
