Mental Health Social Worker Psychologist Counsellor Corowa Claire Davidson 2023-08-23T10:06 00 Position Description Mental Health Social Worker/Psychologist/Counsellor Based in Corowa, NSWFull-time (Part-time/Contract and flexible work arrangements considered)Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience Health Professional and Support Services Award 2010 MA Let's talk about usAmaranth Foundation is a not-for-profit charity, providing compassionate, holistic, "wrap around" care for clients of all ages coping with issues relating to mental health, grief, loss, trauma, disability, ageing, chronic and terminal illness.We receive referrals for individuals, couples and families seeking support for a range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress, addictive behaviour, relationship problems, conflict, bullying, suicidal thoughts, feeling sad or lonely, adjusting to change Our friendly, values-driven, client-centred team are passionate about improving the social, emotional, psychological and existential wellbeing of the people in our local region and rural communities.Let's talk about the roleEngage with clients, carers and families in collaboration with referrers, other service providers and stakeholders to foster trust, coordinate holistic care planning and deliver therapeutic interventionsProvide discipline specific evidence based practice and appropriate treatment options as requiredAssist in discipline specific clinical supervisionContribute to ongoing professional development and peer training activitiesTravel within 1hr radius of Corowa to service our Outreach clinicsLet's talk about you (Selection criteria)You are a Social Worker, Psychologist or Occupational Therapist with Mental Health training with at least 2-3 year experience (involvement in community based social work, mental health, aged care, grief, trauma, palliative care or bereavement would be a great asset)You are registered or eligible for registration with AASW, APS or APHRAYou are registered or eligible to be registered as a Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS) provider and DVA providerYou can demonstrate your understanding of and capacity to undertake person centred, goal directed, strength based holistic assessmentsYou have individual and/or group counselling experienceYou have the ability to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical work against client outcomesYou have strong advocacy and negotiation skills and you'll draw upon your tertiary qualifications and experience to give our clients and their families the high quality of care they deserveYou possess an understanding of the challenges in working across rural communitiesYou have a high level of interpersonal, observational, written and verbal communication skillsYou have the ability to contribute to a team and are willing to work both individually and as part of a dynamic and growing organisation committed to developing effective collaborative community partnershipsYou have a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check and National Police CheckYou have a current unrestricted NSW drivers licence and your own vehicleYou have the capacity to work after hours or occasional weekends if requiredHow to applyWe want to get to know you better, so please include a cover letter addressing the selection criteria along with your resume and 2 x referee contacts.Enquiries can be made to: Claire DavidsonThank you for your interest.
